I am a printmaker with Taoist leanings. I like circles. And water. Not necessarily in that order.
I’ve always been mesmerized with the universe and its striking similarities to Earth’s own oceans and the biological patterns of its creatures at microscopic levels. This fascination coupled with my admiration for Eastern philosophies such as Taoism’s Tao, Buddhism’s Dharmakaya, and Hinduism’s Brahman guides me to create work that attempts to hint at the underlying reality which connects us not only to each other, but to all matter and events that we perceive.
While I enjoy working in multi-medias, my true love is printmaking. I am drawn to printmaking because it appeals equally to my need for order and my desire for spontaneity . My methodical side benefits from printmaking’s many rules, while my impulsive side enjoys printmaking’s endless possibilities in techniques and materials.
I hope you enjoy your visit!
